Inviting: Any first draft readers?

Asking for volunteers and offering up my services in return

I’ve completed my first draft of my book. The 223 pages, as it is running thus far (including a biography, dedication, etc, at the beginning.

I am now happy to ask if anyone would want to or be willing to read it. You need not be an editor or great with grammar and mechanics. I am happy to take whatever feedback I can get as just an interested reader, first impressions, first set of eyes on it, etc.

If you are interested or willing to do so, even if it is to take a look at the first 50 pages, or prologue, one chapter, I am happy with whatever you’re willing to give me.

I knwo that some of my fellow book Academy members are on here too, also working on their books. If that is you, please know that I am also happy to reciprocate in editing or providing feedback for your proposal, manuscript, query letter, etc.

I certainly know that I will need to hire an editor and copy editor at some point, but for now, I am just interested in first interested readers.
