My updates

Hello dear readers,

I took a hiatus, I know, and had the best summer of my life, spending a lot of time with my best friend and going to Cozumel Mexico to celebrate my fortieth birthday. I have also moved to start a new position at Austin Peay State University and I am settled and very happy in my new home and campus.

The other reason, however, that I’ve been less prolific here is that I am dedicating my efforts to writing my book. I joined the Book Academy as a founding cohort member with NY Times Best Seller, Luvvie Ajayi Jones. I am learning about publishing and with the support of a group of like-minded authors to be.

I intend to publish a memoir as well as an academic published piece on rhetorics of trauma and trauma-informed pedagogies. That is the goal I will be working on in my new-tenure track line.

I will be in touch about the time line of that but I sincerely appreciate this platform, the readers, and the ways in which so many of you read my works.

I will continue to post on here from time to time, but I know I have not and may not be as regular as I once was and I wanted to explain why.
